Coffee in Little Italy (July 20, 2021)

Jeff Bezos rocks his blue dildo
over San Diego’s Little Italy
while I sip espresso at Zucchero
and contemplate a Da Vinci Days

 lamppost banner, featuring the painting
“The Virgin and Child with St. Anne”
which, according to Freud,
proves the master was a repressed man.

Was he? If he had sex with his boyfriends
between painting “Salvator Mundi”
and designing his flying machines,
we’d have no way of knowing, would we?

But now we must witness Bezos getting off
in orbit, tossing up Skittles in Zero-G.
I watch it on Facebook as it happens
while across the street a man takes a selfie

in front of a gold Bentley and a gold house
with gilded trim. I don’t know how big
he is beneath his yellow Polo shorts
or if he’s the fucking king of Little Italy.
