Hey all, my other sister and I are in San Diego and decided to do a little podcasting. Our first topic is actually an introduction to tomorrow’s topic: Broad Ripple, which is a neighborhood in Indianapolis, Indiana where we grew up. (We actually grew up in Carmel, just to the north of Indy, but this distinction only matters if you live in the area.) We figured a deep dive into the significance of Broad Ripple in the 1980s, to a certain subset of people, might be just the thing people need right now. Elsewhere on this site (and in my first podcast) I plunge headfirst into politics, but not here. My other sister, who wants to remain semi-anonymous, and I think you need a momentary break that you don’t have to pay for, don’t have to subscribe to, and won’t inspire you to scream at your cat.
